Originally from Northern Michigan, Kurt spent more than 14 years in the golf course industry and five of those were at a top 100 golf course in New York City. There he helped manage an 18-hole reconstruction/redesign with golf-course architect Gil Hanse (Quaker Ridge Golf Club) and was then hired at Woodhill Country Club.  After five years as their Assistant Superintendent, he joined Twin City Seed.  

As a sales associate for TCS specializing in both farm and turf seed, Kurt utilizes his education — a Bachelor of Arts in Crop and Soil Science specializing in Golf Course Management from Michigan State ­– and his almost 20 years of experience to help his clients anticipate their needs for the coming season. Farming especially is a speculative business, so Kurt works closely with farmers and farm supply stores to line up the best products based on conditions at the end of the previous season, pricing and expectations for the next year

Kurt enjoys the variety of his day working at TCS, getting to visit with and assist his farmer and retail customers throughout the Upper Midwest. He prides himself on TCS’s commitment to customer service…that they are faster and more accurate than anyone else. Kurt is accessible at any time to talk and work through an order or a problem.
