SHADY Lawn Seed Mixture is designed to provide good shade tolerance that requires normal to low maintenance practices. The grass species selected for the Shady Lawn Seed Mixture will provide an excellent turf quality where 30% to 60% of shade exists. This mixture is proudly approved by the Turfgrass Water Conservation Alliance.

Composition:

• 20% LIFEGUARD TURF-TYPE TALL FESCUE
• 20% RELENTLESS TURF-TYPE TALL FESCUE
• 20% ENCHANTMENT CHEWINGS FESCUE
• 20% MOLLALA PERENNIAL RYEGRASS
• 20% MAZAMA KENTUCKY BLUEGRASS

Mixture components are subject to change without notice, subject to availability. The function and intention of the mix will remain unchanged.

Seeding Rate:

New lawn renovation: 5-7 lbs. per thousand sqft

Overseeding: 4-6 lbs. per thousand sqft

Estimated Spreader Setting: 9 (new lawn), 7 (overseeding)

*Note, spreader settings vary from model to model and person to person. Be sure to keep your desired seeding rate (pounds per thousand square feet) in mind when seeding. Spreader settings assume a 1-15 range on the spreader dial.

Estimated Germination Under Optimal Conditions: 6-12 days

The consumer shall file a complaint (sworn for AR, FL, IN, MS, SC, TX, WA; signed only CA, GA, ID, ND, SD) along with the required fee (where applicable) with the commissioner (IN)/Director/Secretary of Agriculture, Seed Commissioner, or Chief Agricultural Officer within such time as to permit inspection of the crops, plants, or trees by the designed agency and the seedsman from whom the seed was purchased. A copy of the complaint shall be sent to the seller by certified or registered mail or as otherwise provided by state statute.

Blue Tag Disclaimer:  Please note that while some of our products are blue tag certified, the physical blue tags may not always accompany the product. Straight varieties with blue tag certification are sold in 50 lb bags. Once the contents of these bags are opened, portioned into smaller bag sizes, or mixed with other varieties or species, the original blue tag does not accompany the smaller or mixed portions. Additional certification processes and submission of smaller portions, mixes, and blends are carried out on a limited number of products.
